Your data

Your track stays with you.

Your browser reads the file. Only numeric movement features and your labels are sent to the server.

Your experience

Not sure? Say so.

Ambiguous segments are useful too. You do not have to guess the transport mode from speed alone.

Shared progress

Different journeys. Better models.

Different devices, recording conditions and transport modes matter as much as the number of points.

You choose what to share.

Your GPX, coordinates, exact dates and filenames stay in your browser. Your draft, including track points, is stored on this device. Avoid using a shared device for private tracks.

After you explicitly submit, the server stores movement features, labels, the recording source and random contributor and track identifiers. This reduces data disclosure but does not guarantee anonymity. The server and hosting provider also receive ordinary network requests.

The same basemap used by Dawarich is on by default when you open a track. Its tile and map asset providers receive your IP address and the area you view. You can turn it off using the Basemap button; your choice is remembered on this device.

Submitted records are kept until deleted. You can delete them through My contributions using this browser or a saved contributor key. Deleting records does not undo their influence on previously released models. The data is used to develop transport recognition models; the source dataset will not be published publicly.

Small numbers.
A meaningful contribution.

Your file, coordinates and journey dates are not sent. A random ID links your contributions for quality evaluation.

My contributions

Your contributor key lets you delete your contributions. Keep it somewhere safe: a lost key cannot be recovered.

Clearing your local draft separately removes points and annotations from this device. Deleting server records does not undo their influence on previously released models.
